Before installing roll, read the installation manual carefully. IB is not liable for any problem occurring due to failure to follow the instructions and procedures of the installation manual.
Check the following first before installation.

Inspect the rubber flooring material for any suspect abnormalities or possible defects

Check the stability of the rubber flooring material

Check the temperature and humidity of the site (room), and check the flatness and cleanliness
of the floor

Selection of appropriate adhesives

※ IB's rubber flooring material is appropriate for indoor floors. Avoid direct sunrays or water.
Direct sunrays or dampness may cause discoloration, cracking or deformation.

1. Inspection & storage

1) Inspection

- Check the label on the product, and make sure that the product is what you ordered.
- The label contains the following information:
① Product name ② Color / pattern ③ Thickness and size ④ Quantity

※ To prevent inconsistency of color, check the lot number and make sure that no product of
a different lot number is included.
Before applying adhesives, check if there is any difference in color or defects on the surface.
You must raise any claims or concerns before attaching the product to the floor.

2) Storage

- To prevent deformation, the roll-type rubber flooring material must be laid on a level floor at all times.
- Keep the rubber flooring material and adhesives at 15~30℃ for over 24~48 hours before installation. Do
not install the product at an ambient temperature of 15 ℃ or lower. Use a heater to control
  temperature.
- Roll-type rubber flooring material requires time for stabilization. Stabilization time is especially
important for roll-type rubber floor. Because roll-type rubber flooring is stored in rolls for a long time,
it is important to unroll it and allow it time to recover its intended flat shape. To do this, unroll it and
allow it to settle for 24~48 hours before installation.

2. Floor

Rubber flooring material is secured to the floor with adhesives for high durability.
Rubber flooring can be applied to various floor conditions, but must not be installed on a wet floor.
The floor condition plays an important role in deciding the quality of installation. It is recommended to check the floor for cracks and flatness (using a professional level guage).

1) The floor must be level, clean, dry, and free from cracks.
The surface must be free from dust, solvent, oil, wax, paint, adhesive or asphalt.
2) The concrete floor of a new building requires a curing period of at least 90 days.
Make sure that the floor is free from moisture and is well-cleaned.
In order that the rubber flooring material maintains adhesion and quality, the water content of the
concrete must be not higher than 4% before installation. Excessive moisture on the floor may cause a
    critical problem after installation.
If the floor is found to be structurally unstable, the contractor shall not install the product until the
    problem is resolved.
3) Any floor decoration, such as wood, PVC or linoleum, must be removed completely. Rubber flooring
material installed over such existing flooring material may result in a change of size, distortion,
    expansion, etc.
If it is difficult to remove the existing flooring material, peel off the surface, and repair damages and
    joints before installation.
4) In case of wooden floor, make sure that it is level and dry.
Installation of the product on chipboard or plywood is prohibited.

※ If you have any query about installing the rubber flooring material over an existing flooring material, or
if there is a problem with the floor, or if you have any other query, contact an IB representative
      before applying adhesives.

3. Selection of adhesives

1) If you have any query on selection of adhesives, please contact IB.
Adhesives for flooring material must be selected appropriately according to the type of flooring
    material.
2) Apply adhesives on the floor with a scraper before installing the rubber flooring material.
Some adhesives require an open time. This means the time required for the adhesive to reach its
optimum adhesiveness. Follow the guide of the manufacturer for long-term stability and durability of
    the flooring material.
3) Adhesives can be divided into main agent and hardener, which should be mixed well with a drill or
mixer. It is not recommended to mix the agents with hands.
4) Use only approved adhesives to maintain the quality of the rubber flooring material.

Applicable site

Light-walking area
Areas less exposed to moisture
- Heavy-walking area
- Epoxy / polyurethane-type adhesives partly have water resistance. Exposure to excessive water, however, decreases adhesion, causing deformation of the product.

※ The above information on adhesives is for areas with a temperature of around 20℃ and humidity of 55%.

5) This test is to measure adhesive strength between adhesives, the floor and rubber flooring material.
A curing time of 48 hours is required after applying the adhesives.
When detaching the rubber flooring material after the curing time, it should be difficult to separate
the flooring material from the floor.

6) Caution!

- Contact the adhesive manufacturer if you have any query about the appropriate application and
  installation method.
- Open time, working time and hardening time suggested by the adhesives manufacturer are for the area
with the temperature of 20℃ and humidity of 55%. The information is subject to change depending on
   the environment.

4. Installation of rubber flooring material

▪ The rubber flooring material and adhesives must be kept at the site for at least 24~48 hours before
   installation.
▪ The quality of the rubber flooring material must be checked before installation.
▪ Toxic vapors might exude from the adhesives, therefore make sure to work in a well-ventilated area.

1) Installation

① Measure the area of the site and set the center line.
② Unfold the rubber flooring material along the center line in the direction on the back of the flooring
    material.
③ Apply adhesives on the floor with a scraper. Follow the open time and working time specified by the
    adhesive manufacturer.
④ After the open time, lay the rubber flooring material carefully then press it down. Rub the flooring
material carefully with a cork bar to prevent it from rising-off and to remove any bubbles caused by
    the adhesive.
⑤ Press down on the rubber flooring material with a 50kg roller to ensure a solid grip to the floor.
Rolling is required to remove bubbles and enhance adhesion. Because the adhesion is low at the
beginning of installation, it is recommended to place heavy materials on the tiles for about 24 hours
    for complete hardening.

2) Caution!

The curing time is very important to keep the durability of the floor. Movement of furniture or equipment or walking is prohibited until complete hardening is done. During the hardening period, it is required to keep the temperature at the site to between 15~30℃ constantly.
- Remove adhesives from the surface of the rubber flooring material immediately. Alcohol may make this
work easier, but solvents like acetone are prohibited because they may damage the surface of the
  rubber flooring material.
- Traffic on the site must be prohibited for 24 hours until the adhesive is hardened completely, and
cleaning with water is prohibited for 48 hours.
